The Career Counselling Cell of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, organised an interactive session titled \u2018MBA Mastery: Challenges, Choices and Opportunities\u2019. The resource person for the session was Mr. Sanmeet Sidhu, Head- Training and Development, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Thapar School of Liberal Art and Sciences (Patiala), and LM Thapar School of Management, Dera Bassi. The session witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 200 students aspiring to pursue MBA after graduation. Mr. Sidhu commenced the session with a discussion on terms like success, identity and image to help students define their goals, vision and mission. He shared various tips and tricks to ace an interview including the need to understand the sentiments of the panel. The event concluded with an interactive session wherein Mr. Sidhu addressed students\u2019 queries, providing valuable insights and advice. In another event, the Cell organised an interactive session on \u2018Career options after graduation\u2019. Mr. Bharat Jain, a dedicated educator who has been contributing to the education field since 2005, was the resource person. Various career options available after graduation such as Civil services, law, journalism and media, psychology and counselling, teaching, and social work were discussed. An elaborate discussion on MBA as a career opportunity was held. The resource person also talked about various career options in the commerce field like CA, CS, and CMA which can provide opportunities to students to directly get into\u00a0the\u00a0Big 4 and MNCs. He also highlighted\u00a0high growth new age careers like digital marketing,\u00a0e-commerce,\u00a0etc.\u00a0The event concluded with a Q&A session, wherein Mr. Jain addressed students\u2019 queries, providing valuable insights and advice.<\/p>\n

Officiating Principal Ms. Suman Mahajan expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Career Counselling Cell to provide valuable guidance to students for charting their career paths.
