Six Eminent Writers Read Out from their Literature<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

Six eminent writers read out from their works in the \u2018Dalit Chetna\u2019 programme organized by Sahitya Akademi on the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar\u2019s birth anniversary.\u00a0 Mahendra Singh Beniwal, Mamta Jayant, Namdev and Neelam recited poems and Puran Singh and Tekchand read out short stories.\u00a0 In their presentations, all highlighted the basic teachings of Dr Ambedkar and his vision with the help of which a discrimination-free society could be created.\u00a0 First of all, Mamta Jayant presented her five poems, titled \u201cSabhi Ne Chhua Tha\u201d, \u201cJeevit Imaraten\u201d, \u201cIshwar\u201d, \u201cNahi Chahiye\u201d and \u201cBaheliyon Ke Naam\u201d.\u00a0 Namdev read out his poems titled \u201cBaba Bhim\u201d, \u201cGaadiwaan\u201d, \u201cKuan\u201d and \u201cPehchaan\u201d, which reflected the current status of Dr Ambedkar\u2019s dreams.\u00a0 The titles of Neelam\u2019s poems were \u201cSabse Buri Ladki\u201d, \u201cNayi Duniya Ke Rachhayita\u201d, \u201cTumhari Umeedon Pe Khare Utrenge Hum\u201d and \u201cUtho Sangharsh Karo\u201d. The poem \u201cSabse Buri Ladki\u201d inspired the struggle for women\u2019s rights and equality.\u00a0 Mahendra Singh Beniwal read out poems titled \u201cTasveer\u201d, \u201cAur Kab Tak Mare Jaoge\u201d, \u201cBhediya” and \u201cAag\u201d, which very accurately brought out the dual mentality of modern society.\u00a0 The story presented by Tekchand was titled \u201cGubaar\u201d.\u00a0 In this, the deep roots of ignorance among some communities of the Dalits were shown in a very simple way. Puran Singh read out his story \u201cHawa Ka Rukh\u201d, which focused on the irony of a writer having to compromise as a result of various pressures.\u00a0 The programme was conducted by Sri Anupam Tiwari, Editor (Hindi).\u00a0 A large number of writers, journalists and students were present at the programme.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
