Haryana\u2019s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s leadership, the country has achieved unprecedented progress in the past 11 years. During this period, India\u2019s GDP has overtaken Japan\u2019s to reach fourth position globally. Sh. Vij said that the country has been experiencing continuous all-round development over these 11 years and is touching new heights.<\/div>\n

While speaking to the media persons, Sh. Vij emphasized that India recently surpassed Japan in terms of GDP, and very soon, the country will become the third largest economy. \u201cBut Rahul Gandhi fails to see this,\u201d he added.<\/div>\n

“11 years ago, we imported defense items, but now India is exporting in the defense sector\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/strong><\/div>\n

Reacting strongly to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi\u2019s remark that BJP has achieved nothing in 11 years, the Energy Minister launched a verbal attack on Rahul Gandhi, stating that a decade ago India used to import defense items, but today we are exporting it because the world now demands products made in India. \u201cRahul Gandhi can go ask Pakistan about the impact of India\u2019s BrahMos missile \u2014 it seems Pakistan is his good friend,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n

Sh. Vij said that in these 11 years, the national road network has been expanded fourfold. \u201cWe have built three times more medical colleges than the Congress did, in order to overcome the shortage of doctors and provide quality treatment to people. Under our government, the world\u2019s tallest railway bridge over the Chenab River was built, linking Kashmir \u2014 known as paradise on Earth \u2014 to the railway network. Now whenever someone is asked in a competitive exam where the world\u2019s tallest railway bridge is, it will bring pride to the country.\u201d<\/div>\n

Triple talaq law was abolished to improve the lives of Muslim women\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/strong><\/div>\n

In response to Congress leader Rashid Alvi\u2019s statement that BJP is anti-Muslim and laws like the abolition of triple talaq are anti-Muslim, Energy Minister Anil Vij retorted that the law was abolished to improve the lives of Muslim women. \u201cThis is not just in India, many other Muslim countries have also done this. We ended triple talaq to provide equality to Muslim women,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n

Mocking Rahul Gandhi’s comment that BJP is “selling dreams for 2047”, Sh. Vij reminded Congress of its history, stating that the Indus River is a sacred and cultural river for Indians. \u201cWe became Hindus by drinking its water. But Prime Minister Nehru gave 80% of its water to Pakistan, while our own farmlands remained thirsty.\u201d<\/div>\n

\u201cCongress Prime Minister Indira Gandhi trampled on the Constitution by declaring Emergency\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/strong><\/div>\n

He further said that Congress implemented Article 370 in Kashmir, keeping it separate despite being an integral part of India. \u201cIn 1947, when our army was advancing into POK, Jawaharlal Nehru went to the UNO and got a ceasefire declared. Similarly, Congress Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency by trampling on the Constitution and sent 1.5 lakh people in jail and forcibly sterilized them. This is the history of Congress,\u201d Vij said.<\/div>\n
