Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita should be taught to every individual and in every school across India\u00a0because it represents\u00a0our culture, our religion and our ideology.\u00a0He further emphasized that\u00a0children in Haryana have the right to understand the teachings of the Gita,\u00a0and so it should be part of their education.<\/p>\n

Sh. Vij was responding to a question asked by the media personsk regarding whether Haryana would follow Uttarakhand in introducing the\u00a0Bhagavad Gita in the school curriculum.<\/p>\n

He reiterated that\u00a0every person and every school in India should be taught the Gita, as it forms the core of India\u2019s cultural and religious identity. He added that\u00a0Lord Krishna delivered the message of the Gita to Arjuna on the land of Haryana,\u00a0and hence, children of Haryana deserve to know what Krishna conveyed in the sacred text.<\/p>\n

Rahul Gandhi does not trust the 1.4 billion people of the country, nor the Indian Army, nor the Prime Minister \u2013 Vij<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sh. Vij said that\u00a0Rahul Gandhi neither trusts the citizens of India, nor its armed forces, nor the Prime Minister. He seems to only trust Pakistan.\u00a0Rahul Gandhi will say only those things that align with Pakistan\u2019s narrative, he claimed.<\/p>\n

The Energy Minister criticized the opposition for repeatedly spreading that\u00a0U.S. President Donald Trump mediated the India-Pakistan ceasefire talks,\u00a0while\u00a0Prime Minister Modi himself clarified\u00a0that Trump did not mediate any such talks. Even Pakistan\u2019s Deputy Prime Minister confirmed that no such mediation took place. Taking a jibe, Vij said that “If you (Rahul Gandhi) won\u2019t believe us, at least believe Pakistan.”<\/p>\n

We have destroyed terrorist bases, demolished air defense systems \u2013 Vij<\/strong><\/p>\n

Responding to a question related to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge\u2019s remarks on the\u00a0Pahalgam terrorist attack,\u00a0Sh. Vij said that\u00a0“We have destroyed terrorist camps and taken down their air defense systems.”\u00a0He added sarcastically that\u00a0“If Sh. Kharge wants to ask about a particular \u2018friend\u2019, he should name them, and we will provide the details.”<\/p>\n

People should do their work without blocking the roads \u2013 Vij<\/strong><\/p>\n

When asked about parking and encroachments, Vij said that\u00a0“Some people are earning a living by setting up carts and rickshaws, which is good because they are feeding and educating their children.\u00a0However, it should not\u00a0disrupt traffic or block public roads.
\nHe cited a recent incident in Ambala city where\u00a0a langar was set up on the road, a truck ran over it, and a person died.\u00a0He said that\u00a0“People should conduct their business off the road.”<\/p>\n
