Haryana\u2019s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is the world\u2019s largest volunteer organization, preparing individuals to foster nationalism and building the character of citizens across the country.<\/p>\n

Responding to media queries regarding remarks by Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai, who described RSS as an \u201carmy of Vidur,\u201d Sh. Vij strongly defended the organization. He said that \u201cRSS has 48 branches engaged in different kinds of social service, and it is committed to preserving India\u2019s Sanatan culture.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cCongress has crushed India\u2019s culture and traditions for 60 years\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/h3>\n

Targeting the opposition, Sh. Vij remarked that some parties and leaders who seek to destroy India\u2019s culture for political motives are naturally pained by RSS, since the organization is working to safeguard the nation. He said that \u201cFor the last 60 years, Congress has worked to suppress India\u2019s culture and beliefs. The Ram Mandir could only be built when the BJP government came to power at the Centre \u2013 fulfilling the faith of crores of Indians. Similarly, Article 370 was abrogated only under a BJP government.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cPeople of India continue to teach lessons to the opposition\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/h3>\n

Slamming Congress further, Sh. Vij said that \u201cWhy did Congress not remove Article 370 when it had a two-thirds majority? Instead, Congress allowed bloodshed and violence to continue in the country, only offering condolence ceremonies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the other hand, struck directly inside Pakistan and destroyed terrorist hideouts \u2013 something only leaders nurtured by RSS values could do.\u201d <\/em>He added that there is no cure for Congress\u2019s anguish, and the people of India will continue to teach the opposition lessons at every step.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince when did they become Gandhis?\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/h3>\n

On Rahul Gandhi\u2019s allegation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is \u201cafraid because vote theft has been exposed,\u201d Sh. Vij retorted that \u201cWho exactly is Rahul Gandhi? If we go by history, being the grandson of Feroze Ghandy, he should be Rahul Ghandy. Indira should have been Indira Ghandy, not Gandhi. The family lineage clearly shows \u2018Ghandy,\u2019 so how did they suddenly become \u2018Gandhi\u2019?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThey stole Gandhi\u2019s name to cash in on his popularity\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/h3>\n

Sh. Vij further alleged that the Gandhi family deliberately changed their surname from Ghandy to Gandhi to encash Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s popularity. \u201cRahul Gandhi is actually Rahul Ghandy. Search Feroze Ghandy\u2019s name anywhere \u2013 it is written as Ghandy. To encash the popularity of Mahatma Gandhi, they stole the Gandhi name.
