Controlling Authority of Haryana Private Security Agencies advised RWAs to check the validity of licenses of Private Security Agencies<\/h2>\n

Chandigarh, December 3<\/p>\n

In order to further improve security of residents, Controlling Authority of Haryana Private Security Agencies has advised the Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and other client agencies to check the validity of licenses of Private Security Agencies from whom they hire security guards.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Mr Navdeep Singh Virk, who is also the Controlling Authority of Haryana Private Security Agencies, said that it has been noticed that RWAs, elected bodies of group housing societies and other client agencies have not been confirming and verifying the validity of licences of private security agencies while hiring manpower from them.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cIt would be beneficial and also in your own interest to take and hire manpower from a private security agency having a valid license,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We have already issued licences to around 1,100 functional private security agencies across the state. All the agencies were also directed to ensure verification of every security guard. He, however, made it clear that as per the provision mentioned in the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act (PSARA), no person shall carry on or commence the business unless he holds a license issued under PSARA to have a private security agency. Strict action will be taken against the agency that violated the provisions of the Act, added Mr Virk.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Controlling Authority also advised all private security agencies operating in Haryana to strictly follow the PSARA norms.<\/p>\n
