Advanced medical equipment to boost healthcare delivery; Haryana Health Department calls it a model public-private partnership<\/p>\n

IDBI Bank has provided a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) grant of Rs. 2.49 crore to the Haryana Health Department for the upgradation of District Civil Hospital, Panipat. The grant was formally handed over to Additional<\/span>\u00a0Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Sumita Misra, today at Chandigarh.<\/p>\n

The financial assistance will be utilised for procuring advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, digital X-ray machines, ultrasound units, operation theatre tables, and multipara monitors. These additions are expected to significantly enhance diagnostic and critical care services at the district hospital level, reducing dependency on larger medical centres in cities like Rohtak and Chandigarh.<\/p>\n

Welcoming the initiative, ACS, Dr. Sumita Misra described the collaboration as a meaningful example of public-private partnership. She emphasised that such targeted CSR contributions directly benefit patients relying on government healthcare facilities and help bridge infrastructure gaps in the system.<\/p>\n

The sanctioned funds will support procurement across multiple departments. The orthopedic unit will receive advanced operation theatre tables, while neonatal care will be strengthened with infant warmers. Radiology services will be upgraded with a high-end digital X-ray machine, and intensive care facilities will benefit from ventilators and infusion pumps. All equipment will carry a minimum five-year warranty along with fixed maintenance costs, ensuring long-term sustainability.<\/p>\n

The initiative is part of IDBI Bank\u2019s flagship CSR programme \u2018HOPE \u2013 Healthcare Outreach and Public Empowerment\u2019, which has already supported 23 healthcare institutions across Haryana during the 2025\u201326 financial year with the total CSR contribution of approx Rs. 1 Crore. The programme focuses on improving medical infrastructure, sanitation, and outreach services in underserved areas.<\/p>\n

District Civil Hospital, Panipat, caters to a large population from both urban and rural areas. With the addition of modern equipment, patients are expected to receive improved treatment locally, reducing travel costs and delays in critical care.
