Haryana\u2019s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij once again strongly criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over his remarks regarding the bomb blasts in Punjab. Sh. Vij said that \u201cThis irresponsible statement by the Punjab Chief Minister, who works under the influence of alcohol, shows that Bhagwant Mann is completely intoxicated with both power and alcohol. He should resign from his post for making such irresponsible remarks.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

He further commented on the murder of the personal assistant of senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari in West Bengal, saying that Union Home Minister Amit Shah would \u201cput an end to goondaraj and restore peace in the state.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sh.Vij was responding to questions from media persons regarding Bhagwant Mann\u2019s statement alleging BJP\u2019s involvement in the bomb blasts in Punjab.<\/h5>\n
\u201cBhagwant Mann should resign for making irresponsible statements\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/strong><\/h5>\n

He said that Bhagwant Mann is not only the Chief Minister but also the Home Minister of Punjab, and if he is alleging BJP\u2019s involvement, he must prove it. Sh. Vij asserted that if Mann fails to substantiate his claims, he should resign from his position for making irresponsible statements.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople of Bengal ended goondaraj on May 4\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Responding to a question regarding the killing of Suvendu Adhikari\u2019s PA in West Bengal, Sh. Vij said that the people of Bengal had already voted against \u201cgoondaraj\u201d on May 4. He claimed that the public had rejected such politics and that individuals associated with that \u201cgoondaraj\u201d were now creating unrest in the state.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmit Shah will eliminate the fear of goondaraj in Bengal\u201d \u2013 Vij<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The minister said that \u201cWe had said that this was the first election in Bengal in which no one died, but even after the elections such incidents are being seen.\u201d<\/em> He added that there was no need to worry because Home Minister Amit Shah had dealt with such elements before and would restore peace in Bengal.<\/p>\n

*\u201cThe Constitution provides ways to remove leaders who refuse to resign\u201d \u2013 Vij*<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Replying to a question regarding Mamata Banerjee not stepping down from the Chief Minister\u2019s post, Sh. Vij said that democracy demands acceptance of defeat. He added that the framers of the Constitution had anticipated situations where politicians might refuse to resign, and therefore constitutional provisions already exist for their removal.<\/p>\n

Taking a swipe at Mamata Banerjee, Sh. Vij said that everyone knows she tends to create obstacles in every matter. He stated that during her tenure she continued to create disruptions and is still doing so unnecessarily, whereas everyone should function according to the law. He added that approaching the courts is everyone\u2019s constitutional right and there is no objection to that.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the anniversary of \u201cOperation Sindoor,\u201d Sh. Vij said that the day symbolizes national pride, patriotism, and India\u2019s strength and resolve. He remarked that earlier governments would merely offer condolences after terror attacks, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed that approach by adopting a strong stance against terrorism. He said that \u201cOperation Sindoor taught Pakistan such a lesson that it may not dare to raise its head for centuries. The message is clear\u2014no one should dare look towards India with hostile intent.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Responding to AIMIM leader Waris Pathan\u2019s controversial remarks on \u201cVande Mataram,\u201d Sh.Vij said that \u201cVande Mataram\u201d is India\u2019s national song and deserves the same respect as the national anthem. He stated that insulting the national song should invite the same punishment as insulting the national anthem. Sh.Vij added that\u201cIf you want to live in India, you will have to say Vande Mataram.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
