More than 35 language teachers from different universities and<br \/>\ncolleges will participate in this course organized by UGC-human resource development<br \/>\ncentre(HRDC) of Panjab University, Chandigarh. Director of HRDC, Prof SK Tomar informed<br \/>\nthat Vice Chancellor of HP Central University, Dharmshala Prof Kuldip Chand Agnihotri<br \/>\nwill be the chief guest in the inaugural session while eminent journalist Shri Rahul<br \/>\nDev will deliver the key-note address. Prof Anand Vardhan Sharma, visiting professor,<br \/>\nSofia University ,Bulgaria will be guest of honour. Deputy Director HRDC, Dr Jayanti<br \/>\nDutta informed that teachers from 9 different states and five languages(Hindi,English,<br \/>\nPunjabi, Marathi and Sanskrit) will be taking part in this course.<\/p>\n<p>Course Coordinator and Associate Professor of Department of Hindi, Dr Gurmeet Singh<br \/>\nsaid that keeping in view the increasing importance of translation in present times and<br \/>\nits role in bringing various languages and cultures closer the central theme of the<br \/>\ncourse has been chosen as \u201cCulture of Translation and Translation of Culture\u201d. He<br \/>\ninformed that more than 30 experts from India and abroad are invited as resource<br \/>\npersons and they will share their knowledge and wisdom with the participants.These<br \/>\ninclude Prof. Shiv Kumar Singh (Pourtgual), Prof. Anand Vardhan Sharma (Bulgaria), Prof<br \/>\nBS Dahiya( former VC ,KU) Mr. Vinod Sandlesh (Joint Director Central Translation<br \/>\nBureau, New Delhi), Prof. Prabhakar Singh (BHU, Banaras), Prof. Shashi Mudiraj<br \/>\n(Hyderabad), Prof. R.
