Manohar Lal visits the residence of Late Darshan Lal Jain in Jagadhri<\/h2>\n

Chandigarh, February 8: Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal\u00a0 visited the residence of Late Darshan Lal Jain in Jagadhri today and expressed condolences to the bereaved family members. Darshan Lal (94), the founder of Saraswati Research Institute passed away today.\u00a0 He is survived by two sons and two daughters.<\/p>\n

Darshan Lal was cremated with state honour today. The contingent of Police presented guard of honour as a mark of respect to the departed soul.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said that he is deeply saddened by the demise of Darshan Lal Jain. He said that Mr Darshan Lal had always rendered selfless service to the society and for this he would be long remembered.<\/p>\n

He said that besides the freedom movement of the country, Darshan Lal made vital contribution in the fields of education and social service, especially in the rejuvenation of Saraswati River.\u00a0 The Chief Minister said that he had a long association with Darshan Lal who always worked with the approach of uniting the society.<\/p>\n

Manohar Lal said that the contribution of Darshan Lal Jain in the rejuvenation of Saraswati river had been paramount. He said that it\u00a0 was only due to his persistent efforts that steps have been taken for the rejuvenation of the river and added that by successfully implementing\u00a0 this prestigious project, we could pay tribute to Darshan Lal in a real manner.<\/p>\n

Among those present on this occasion included BJP State President, Om Parkash Dhankhar, Speaker, Vidhan Sabha Gian Chand Gupta, Education Minister Kanwar Pal, MLA Yamunanagar Ghanshyam Das Arora, former Minister Karan Dev Kamboj, Mayor Municipal Corporation, Madan Chauhan, former MLA namely Balwant Singh and\u00a0 Arjun Singh, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Dharambir Singh, Superintendent of Police, Kamaldeep Goyal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ranjit Kaur, BJP leader Banto Kataria and representatives of various political, social and religious organizations<\/p>\n
