Synthetic- Yarn

March 19th<\/div>\n
For better exports, Government of India has started a scheme namely “Scheme for Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products’, (RoDTEP) to all export goods, including textiles and garments with effect from 1st January, 2021. Further, in order to boost exports in Man Made Fibre (MMF) sector, Government of India has removed santi dumping duty on PTA, a key raw material for the manufacture of MMF fibre and yarn. Government has also removed anti-dumping duty on acrylic fibre, raw material for yarn and knitwear industry. Assistance is also given to exporters under Market Access initiative (MAl) Scheme. As per Nielsen baseline survey of Powerloom industry conducted during 2012-13, 24.86 lakh Power looms were installed in the country. The location wise details is in ANNEXURE-I.<\/strong> As per 4th<\/sup> All India Handloom Census, there are 28,23,382 handlooms in country on which handloom cloth\/products are made using varieties of yarn. A statement showing state wise number of handlooms is at ANNEXURE-II. The details of funds allocation\/expenditure under these schemes in the last 3 years and till date are at ANNEXURE-III.<\/strong><\/div>\n
