Haryana Health Department administered 3,85,103 vaccine doses to beneficiaries in last six days<\/h2>\n

Chandigarh, March 20- To ensure maximum penetration of Covid-19 vaccine so as to curb the spread of the highly contagious corona virus, Haryana Health Department has administered 3,85,103 vaccine doses to beneficiaries in last six days.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sharing information in this regard, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Rajeev Arora said that the unique concept of initiating \u2018Mega Vaccine Day\u2019 on two days of a week has been rewarding and the state has already administered the COVID-19 vaccine doses to 9,07,478 beneficiaries in all. Divulging details of the number of people who were administered vaccine doses today, Arora said that the Health Department has successfully administered the vaccine doses to 14,581 beneficiaries today. Elaborating on it, he said that the Department plans to intensify the vaccination drive and intends to administer the vaccine doses to all the people of the state in the near future.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The concept of \u201cMega Vaccination Day\u201d was introduced on Monday (March 15, 2021) when 1.5 lakh (1,58,901) beneficiaries were administered the vaccine doses. Thereafter on Tuesday the vaccine doses were administered to 67,650 beneficiaries, on March 17 doses were given\u00a0 to 14,199 beneficiaries, March 18 vaccine doses were given to 68,858 beneficiaries, on March 19 vaccine doses were given to 60,944 beneficiaries and on March 20 to vaccine doses were given\u00a0 to 14,581 beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

On the administration of vaccines doses to Health Care Workers (HCWs) and Frontline Workers (FLWs) Sh. Arora said that 1,75,736 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine which cover around 80 per cent of the HCWs and around 1,05,210 Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered the second dose which covers around 60 per cent of the HCWs. Sharing the details of the Frontline Workers (FLWs) he said that 93,371 FLWs have been administered the first dose of the vaccine that is 69 per cent of FLWs and 28,426 FLWs have been administered the second dose which makes it 30 per cent. On the vaccine administered to beneficiaries above 60 years, within the age group of 45 to 60 years (with co-morbidities) and general citizens the first dose of the vaccine has been given to 5,04,735 beneficiaries.<\/p>\n
