Zero tolerance policy against corruption: State Vigilance Bureau registered 8 enquiries and completed 9 enquiries during February<\/h2>\n

Chandigarh, April 16- While swiftly working towards zero tolerance policy against corruption as adopted by Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, the State Vigilance Bureau, under its special drive had registered 8 enquiries and completed 9 enquiries during the month of February 2021 and the report of these enquiries are being sent to the Government. Out of 9 enquiries allegations have been proved in 5 enquiries.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sharing more information here today, a spokesperson of the bureau said that in three investigations, departmental action has been recommended against three non-gazetted officers. Further action has been recommended against one private person as per rule of HSIIDC.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In the second enquiry, the Bureau has recommended action against complainant under Section 182 IPC. In third enquiry, recommendation has been made for taking appropriate action by the concerned department. In the remaining two enquiries, the Bureau has recommended that the Government may take appropriate action in the matter.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The spokesperson said that during the month of February 2021, 4 special checkings\/technical reports have been sent to the Government, in which all works have been found satisfactory.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He informed that during the same period, five employees were caught red-handed while taking illegal gratification ranging from Rs 2,500 to Rs 45,000 and the Bureau has also registered cases against these employees\u00a0 under the Prevention of Corruption Act.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Among those who have been booked under this Act include Suresh Kumar, Peon in the office of Nagar Prishan, Jind while accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 2500,\u00a0 Ramniwas, Central Workshop as Clerk, Haryana Roadways, Hisar for accepting Rs. 45,000, Narender Singh, Clerk (out source), Advertisement Branch, NIT Zone, Municipal Corporation, Faridabad for accepting Rs. 8,000, Dr. Yogender Singh, Government Veterinary Hospital, Firozpur Jhirka, District Nuh and Mangat Ram, Sweeper for accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000.<\/p>\n
