India\u2019s Vaccination Coverage exceeds 12.38 Crores<\/h4>\n

The number of corona\u00a0 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed 12.38 Cr\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>today as part of the world\u2019s largest vaccination drive. 12,38,52,566 <\/strong><\/b>vaccine doses have been administered through 18,37,373 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am. These include 91,36,134<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 1st dose and\u00a057,20,048<\/strong><\/b>HCWs who have taken the 2nd dose,\u00a01,12,63,909 <\/strong><\/b>FLWs (1st<\/sup>dose),\u00a055,32,396 <\/strong><\/b>FLWs (2nd<\/sup>dose), 4,59,05,265 <\/strong><\/b>1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries and\u00a040,90,388 <\/strong><\/b>2nd<\/sup>\u00a0dose beneficiaries more than 60 years old and\u00a04,10,66,462<\/strong><\/b>(1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose) and\u00a011,37,964 <\/strong><\/b>(2nd<\/sup> dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

8 states account for 59.42% of the total doses given so far in the country. Over 12 lakh vaccination doses were administered in the last 24 hours. As on Day 93 of the vaccination drive (18th<\/sup>\u00a0April, 2021),\u00a012,30,007 <\/strong><\/b>vaccine doses were given. 9,40,725 beneficiaries were vaccinated across 21,905 sessions for 1st<\/sup>\u00a0dose and 2,89,282 beneficiaries received 2nd<\/sup> dose of vaccine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

India\u2019s daily new cases continue to rise. 2,73,810<\/strong><\/b>new cases were registered in the last 24 hours. 10 States including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka,Kerala,Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Rajasthan report 79.58%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new cases. Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 68,631. It is followed by Uttar Pradesh with 30,566 while Delhi reported 25,462 new cases.20 states, as shown under, are displaying an upward trajectory in daily new cases.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s total Active Caseload has reached 19,29,329<\/strong><\/b>. It now comprises\u00a012.81%<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0of the country’s total Positive Cases. A net incline of\u00a01,28,013<\/strong><\/b> cases recorded from the total active caseload in the last 24 hours. The 5 States of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala cumulatively account for 63.18%<\/strong><\/b> of India\u2019s total Active Cases. India\u2019s cumulative recoveries stand at 1,29,53,821<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0today. The National Recovery Rate is\u00a086.00%. <\/strong><\/b>1,44,178<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

The National Mortality Rate has been falling and currently stands at 1.19%. <\/strong><\/b>1,619<\/strong><\/b> deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. 10 States account for 85.11%\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (503). Chhattisgarh follows with 170 daily deaths.<\/p>\n
