Narendra Modi today launched the distribution of e-property cards being distributed under the SVAMITVA yojana to the house owners of 1308 villages of Haryana<\/h2>\n

Chandigarh, April 24 : On the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi today launched the distribution of e-property cards being distributed under the SVAMITVA yojana to the house owners of 1308 villages of Haryana from New Delhi through video conferencing.<\/p>\n

Besides this, the Prime Minister also honoured\u00a0the Panchayats of seven\u00a0districts by conferring National Level Panchayat awards to them.<\/p>\n

Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal and Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala also attended the programme from Chandigarh.<\/p>\n

In this virtual event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed National Level Awards to 313 Panchayats across the country along with the distribution\u00a0 of 4.09 lakh e-property cards to 5002 Panchayats of seven states. Distribution of e-property cards to 1,76,579 people from 1308 villages of Haryana hence\u00a0 giving then ownership rights of their properties is also proposed.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the event was that in those Panchayats in which the\u00a0Prime Minister had today launched the distribution of e-property cards,\u00a0Haryana’s participation was about 26 percent. Besides this, it is a matter of great pride that\u00a0among the people across the country who today have\u00a0received these e-property, the\u00a0percentage of eligible beneficiaries from Haryana is 43 percent.<\/p>\n

It is pertinent to mention that while swiftly working on the unique initiative taken by Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, the ‘Lal Dora Mukta Village’ scheme was first introduced from Sirsi village in Karnal district on January 26, 2020. Under this scheme, villagers were given property cards of their properties.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, after the Nationwide launch of SVAMITVA scheme by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the Deputy Commissioners of the State, amid COVID-19 crisis, also distributed the e-property cards to the five eligible beneficiaries each in their respective districts to mark a symbolic beginning.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the Prime Minister honoured Ambala district with\u00a0Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskar\u00a0for the year 2019-20.\u00a0 Similarly, Pataudi block\u00a0of Gurugram district, Siwan block of Kaithal district and Panchayat of village Kahnaur in Rohtak district, Shamri Lochab village of Sonipat district and Panchayat of village Naryala in Faridabad district were also awarded with the\u00a0Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskar.<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0Badhana Gram Panchayat of Jind District received the\u00a0Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Puraskar. Similarly, the\u00a0\u00a0Mirzapur Panchayat of Gurugram district was awarded with the\u00a0Gram Panchayat Development Plan Award\u00a0for preparing the village development plan in advance, while the ‘Child-Friendly Gram Panchayat Award -2021’ was awarded to the Kahnaur Panchayat of Rohtak District.<\/p>\n

Union Cabinet Minister, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Narendra Singh Tomar also spoke during the programme.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Chief Secretary, Vijai Vardhan, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, D.S Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary,\u00a0 Development and Panchayat Department Amit Jha, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, V. Umashankar,\u00a0 Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal and Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Ashima Brar, Director General, Development and Panchayats, R.C Bidhan, Special Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Amna Tasneem were also present.<\/p>\n
