To tackle with the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the State Government has taken over the Gold Fields Institute of Medicial Sciences and Research in Faridabad: Manohar Lal<\/h2>\n

Chandigarh, April 26:\u00a0 Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal said that to tackle with the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the State Government has taken over the Gold Fields Institute of Medicial Sciences and Research, in Chhainsa village of Faridabad district which has been remained\u00a0 closed for years.<\/p>\n

Within 24 hours, the work of setting up a hospital with an arrangement is 100 oxygen beds would be started, said the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister said this while interacting with the media persons after visiting the said\u00a0 Medical College on Monday.<\/p>\n

Haryana Transport Minister, Mool Chand Sharma and other senior officers of the District Administration were present on this occasion.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Chief Minister also held a meeting with officials at the Medical College regarding arrangements.<\/p>\n

Manohar Lal, while interacting with the media persons said that as the number of COVID-19 patients in the State has increased, undoubtedly the pressure on hospitals too has increased.<\/p>\n

There was some difficulty regarding oxygen supply but we are leaving no stone unturned to ensure uninterrupted supply of oxygen.\u00a0 We are going to build two\u00a0 hospitals having a bed capacity of 500 each\u00a0 in Panipat and Hisar with the help of DRDO.\u00a0 Today, both the hospital sites have also been inspected, informed the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n

He said that the the doctors who would be deployed in the Gold Fields Institute of Medicial Sciences and Research would be deputed from the Indian Army.<\/p>\n

He said that the State Government will make this hospital functional in the next two or three days.<\/p>\n

There is no shortage of medicines in the state, said the Chief Minister while responding to a question asked in this regard.<\/p>\n

There is no shortage of Remdesivir injection in government hospitals.\u00a0 There have been some problems in private hospitals.\u00a0 For this, the government has now started the supervision of dealers who are supplying the medicine to private hospitals as well.<\/p>\n
