Manohar Lal gives necessary directions for setting up a 500-bed hospital by the DRDO in Hisar<\/h2>\n

Chandigarh, April 26: In a bid to expand health facilities amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal today visited Hisar. During his visit, the Chief Minister gave necessary directions for setting up a 500-bed hospital by the DRDO in the district.<\/p>\n

Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Ranbir Gangwa, Minister of State for Archeology and Museums, Sh.\u00a0 Anoop Dhanak, Rajya Sabha MP, Dr D.P Vats, MLA, Dr Kamal Gupta and BJP District President,\u00a0 Captain Bhupendra also accompanied the Chief Minister.\u00a0\u00a0The Chief Minister held detailed discussions with the Minister, officials and leaders regarding the current COVID-19\u00a0 situation.<\/p>\n

Manohar Lal also held detailed discussion with top officials of the Government including Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, V. Umashankar, Deputy Commissioner, Hisar, Dr Priyanka Soni and other officers for exploring the possibilities of setting up a 500-bed hospital in the premises of OP Jindal Modern School.\u00a0\u00a0The Chief Minister directed that immediate action should be initiated for setting up this hospital.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in Panipat district, one such 500-bed hospital would be set up in the premises of the Indian Oil Corporation Refinery.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister informed that at present, 9 metric tonnes of liquid oxygen is being received from Hisar, out of which oxygen is being supplied to other places like Sirsa, Agroha etc. besides Hisar.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister while appealing to the people of the state said that they should meticulously follow the COVID-19 guidelines and take all necessary precautions. Besides this, they should also adhere to the guidelines issued by the government.\u00a0 People should take special care of their daily routine and diet, urged the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n

If any person feels that he\/ she is having some mild COVID-19 symptoms, then instead of self-medication they should immediately contact the doctors and get the necessary treatment done.<\/p>\n

Expressing his condolences over the tragic death of five patients in a private hospital last night, the Chief Minister said that the medical board is investigating the matter to find out the real cause of the deaths.\u00a0 Also, a magisterial inquiry has been ordered for investigation so that such incidents do not occur in future, said Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n
