Urges PRIs to contribute in establishment, operation of isolation facilities at Panchayat level<\/strong><\/div>\n
KISHTWAR, MAY 24, 2021<\/strong>: Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired an interactive meeting with the BDC Chairpersons, DDC members and concerned District Officers here at conference hall, DC office and discussed the current Covid-19 scenario in the district.<\/div>\n
At the outset, the meeting held threadbare discussion on the existing Medicare facility\u00a0 and measures being\u00a0 taken to further strengthen it.<\/div>\n
The Chief Medical Officer informed that the positivity rate has declined due to the stringent COVID care measure enforced by the District administration. He said the majority of the cases are under home isolation and all of them are asymptomatic. He added that medicine kits including pulse oximeters have been provided to them by the designated teams as per the instruction of\u00a0 \u00a0LG UT of J&K and on the direction of DC.<\/div>\n
\u00a0Regarding bed capacity, the CMO informed that the district has\u00a0 \u00a0sufficient bed capacity at different levels. Adding to this, he\u00a0 said that there is no dearth of oxygen supply, and the supply is being daily monitored by the concerned team.<\/div>\n
The DC laid stress on the early establishment of 5 bedded isolation centres at Panchayat level, and directed the CMO to\u00a0 prioritize far flung areas and ensure availability of all requisite facilities for the patients including proper ventilation, beds, oxygen support, necessary medical kits, linkage with nearest healthcare centres, referral linkage with dedicated Covid health centres & hospitals, availability of tele-medicine facilities, power backup and other basic facilities.<\/div>\n
The DC sought the cooperation of the PRI members to play a proactive role in the establishment and operationalisation of 5- bedded COVID care isolation facilities in each Panchayat.<\/div>\n
\u00a0Regarding vaccination, the DC informed that inoculation has been intensified by conducting camps at the Panchayat level and was being directly monitored by concerned Tehsildar and BDO.<\/div>\n
He urged the BDCs and DDC members to come forward, identify the left out persons above 45 yrs of age and enlist them so that cent percent vaccination is achieved for the effective control of the pandemic.<\/div>\n
\u00a0In the meeting PRI members lauded the efforts of the District Administration for effective and timely response measures amid the second wave of the COVID19 and thereby ensuring the safety of people.<\/div>\n
Meanwhile in the meeting the issue regarding the restoration\u00a0 \u00a0of the road and telecommunication facility to the far flung areas of Dachhan Marwah and Warwan were also highlighted.<\/div>\n
The DC assured that the snow clearance and restoration work on the Kishtwar-Sinthan bye pass was in full swing and is expected to be completed soon. He added that the telecommunication facility in the far off areas of Marwah and Warwan will be completed within a month to facilitate the people.<\/div>\n
