Panchayat ghars turned into 05 bedded isolation centres<\/strong><\/div>\n
SAMBA, MAY 27, 2021<\/strong>: Panchyat Ghars, the temples of grassroots level democracy in district Samba, in compliance to the major decision of\u00a0 \u00a0Lieutenant Governor of UT of J&K, have been converted into a covid care centres.<\/div>\n
District Samba with 09 CD blocks have 101 Panchayats in which 05 bedded isolated covid care centres have been setup with medical facilities for care and treatment of local covid-19 patients with mild symptoms.<\/div>\n
The Panchayat level centres have been equipped with PPE Kits, RAT Kits, Masks, Sanitizers, Oximeters, Ayurvedic and Allopathic medicines, contact lens thermometers and other medical facilities like oxygen cylinders.<\/div>\n
While informing on the present status of the covid care\u00a0 centre,\u00a0 Block Development Officer, Ramgarh, Mohinder Singh said that 18 Panchayats of block Ramgarh have been converted into covid care centres\u00a0 with all medical facilities.<\/div>\n
\u201cWe can provide better medical advice at covid centres as it is equipped with medical equipments and also have doctor\u2019s supervision\u201d added the BDO.<\/div>\n
The Sarpanch Chak Salarian Vijay Kumar said that it is a welcome decision of Government of JK adding to have a covid centres within the Panchayat was the need of the hour.\u00a0 \u00a0He said that PRI members have extended full cooperation to the Government officials in setting up of the 05 bedded covid care centre as it will benefit our own people. \u201cA patient of our locality who was recently shifted into covid care centre with help of ambulance and by a team of trained staff and medical team is being provided good care and due to regular monitoring his health has recuperated\u201d said the Sarpanch.<\/div>\n
The block medical officer, Ramgarh, Dr. Lakhvinder Singh said all medical supplies and equipments have been made available\u00a0 in covid care centre and trained staff like NOs, Asha workers, ANMs and others have been deployed for regular monitoring of the covid patients.<\/div>\n
\u00a0He also said that the doctors and medical superintend,\u00a0 \u00a0 also visit the covid centres for regular medical checkups of the isolated covid patients. \u201cSuch initiatives will definitely help in reducing the burden on the hospitals,\u201d added the BMO.<\/div>\n
