Corporate world stood united on Chief Minister’s appeal<\/strong><\/p>\n

CSR fund helped the COVID patients to get the best treatment<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chandigarh, May 29:<\/strong> At a time when Haryana is trying its level best to get through this tremendous challenging Pandemic time, Cooperate world played a pivotal role in helping the State Government in putting up a tough fight against this Pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Various multinational companies, large commercial and industrial groups set up in the state walked hand in hand with the State Government and helped them on all fronts. Be it providing oxygen to health centres, construction of Covid Care Centres, setting up makeshift hospitals, ensuring adequate availability of ventilators, oxygen cylinders and providing funds under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Corporate world played a crucial role during this pandemic COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 From providing ambulance vehicles, PPE kits for doctors and other health workers, sanitizers, masks, medicines and other necessary materials the Corporate sector left no stone unturned in helping the government to strengthen the health infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 With the help received from the Corporate sector, the Haryana government has not only reiterated its commitment of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas but it also proved helpful in ensuring that the person standing last in the queue receives the best health care.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Not only this, CSR efforts made by Chief Minister, Sh.\u00a0 Manohar Lal in the last two years to channelize the fund were also successful in this hour of crisis.<\/p>\n

Ease of Doing Business helped Haryana to gain popularity<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a similar effort, the Chief Minister inaugurated four oxygen production plants in three government hospitals in Gurugram on Friday.\u00a0 In collaboration with Maruti Suzuki India Limited, two plants of 1 ton and 0.5-ton capacity were inaugurated in Civil Hospital Sector 10 in Gurugram which will be able to supply uninterrupted oxygen supply to about 100 to 150 beds.\u00a0\u00a0 Similarly, another two plants having a capacity of 1 ton each were inaugurated at ESI Hospital Sector 9A and ESI Hospital Sector 3 Manesar.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Haryana has also received four oxytrucks through CSR Advisory Board with the help of Raytheon Technology.\u00a0 These oxytrucks imported from Germany are used by the army for its soldiers in difficult and inaccessible areas.\u00a0 Due to the efforts of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, in the matter of Ease of Doing Business, the industry-friendly policy of Haryana is being admired worldwide.\u00a0 It is because of this Policy, there is a readiness in CSR activities.<\/p>\n

CSR Fund channelized<\/strong><\/p>\n

A CSR Advisory Board was constituted in the year 2018 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal.\u00a0 The purpose of the formation of this board was to channelize the work to be done under the CSR Fund.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The CSR fund received from the\u00a0 Corporate sector was also included in the measures to control the Pandemic through this Board, which was an initiative taken by Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On the appeal made by the Chief Minister, members of this Advisory Board not only helped the State Government with various resources in this hour of crisis but also provided financial help through CSR Fund so that there is no shortage of funds or any resources to save every precious life.<\/p>\n

Hospitals in Hisar and Panipat received live oxygen support<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As Haryana was continuously putting up a tough fight against COVID-19 Pandemic, there came a time when the oxygen demand started increasing rapidly.\u00a0 Then, the State Government while shifting their focus to provide uninterrupted oxygen supply had set up two new temporary hospitals having a bed capacity of 500 beds each at Hisar and Panipat.\u00a0 Not only this but an immediate uninterrupted oxygen supply in these hospitals was also arranged from\u00a0 Jindal Industry at Hisar and the Indian Oil Refinery at Panipat.<\/p>\n

Makeshift hospitals a boon for patients<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the beginning of May, there came a time when the need for strengthening the health infrastructure and resources became the need of the hour.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The situation was becoming challenging in areas adjacent to the national capital Delhi.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Haryana Chief Minister, who is known for his farsightedness then had urged the corporate sector to join the government in its anti-virus fight.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It was then that a makeshift hospitals having a bed capacity of more than 500 beds was set up in collaboration with Vedanta, M3M, Heer, mankind etc in Gurugram. Thus, in this way, the corporate sector played a pivotal role in providing relief to every patient as they bravely fought the COVID-19 Pandemic.<\/p>\n

Corporate world stood shoulder to shoulder with State Government<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Since last year, when Haryana had pulled up its socks to give a tough fight against the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the Corporate world too joined the government’s anti-virus fight and stood shoulder to shoulder to help the government on all major fronts.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Last year Zee-Entertainment group had provided 20 ambulance vehicles for COVID-19 patients,\u00a0 while Maruti Udyog also provided ventilators to the State Government ensuring every precious life is saved.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Similarly, the Power Grid group and RITES had also provided six and two ambulance vehicles with Advanced Life Support System (ALS) respectively.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Besides this, big groups like Hero Motocorp, Tata Sons, Honda, Parle, Mahindra, CII, Assocham, STUDS, IndusInd Bank, DLF etc. have also helped Haryana Government by providing adequate quantity of\u00a0 PPE kits, surgical and N-95 masks, sanitizer, eyeglass, shoes etc.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Not only this, through the CSR Advisory Board, the government received financial assistance of Rs. 6.31 crore from the corporate sector to fight against this Pandemic.<\/p>\n
