SRINAGAR, JUNE 02, 2021<\/strong>: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammed Aijaz Asad today said that strict adherence to the Covid-19 SOPs and Vaccination of vulnerable and targeted population is imperative to minimize the infection of Corona virus.<\/div>\n
\u00a0The DC said\u00a0 this during a media brief here on Wednesday.<\/div>\n
He said\u00a0 the district Administration is working very hard in fighting Covid-19 pandemic and people of the district have extended their cooperation due to which visible decline has been witnessed during past few days.<\/div>\n
The DC said though we have seen a visible decline in Covid positive cases but we have to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour with more responsibility to make entry into Green Zone.<\/div>\n
The DC Said any laxity on Covid SOPs can prove harmful.\u00a0 He urged the left out population of Srinagar to get vaccinated as soon as possible to break the chain of corona virus.<\/div>\n
With regard to opening of markets, the DC said that with decline in covid positivity rate guidelines have been issued as per the directions of the State Executive Council and people particularly all business establishments\/operators must follow the same to contain the spread of Covid-19 infection.<\/div>\n
Talking about the ongoing vaccination procces, the DC said as many as 2.60 lakh tageted population has been vaccinated so far and\u00a0 concerted efforts are being made to speed up the inoculation drive\u00a0 acorss the district.<\/div>\n
He urged the people to come forward and get vaccinated which is safest way to get protection and\u00a0 help break the chain of corona virus spread.<\/div>\n
The DC further said that the Srinagar administration has issued roaster for\u00a0 opening of shops on rational basis to avoid large crowds in the market.<\/div>\n
\u00a0He also urged general public to adopt social distancing, wearing proper mask, and maintaining hand hygeine to keep them, their family and whole Srinagar City safe from\u00a0 Covid-19 infection.<\/div>\n
