Asks to work in double shifts, focus on quality parameters with timely completion<\/strong><\/div>\n
SRINAGAR, JUNE 02<\/strong>: Chief Executive Officer, J&K Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA), Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project (JTFRP), Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, today inspected progress on construction of 120 bedded Specialized Orthopaedic Unit (additional hospital block) at Bone and Joint Hospital, Barzulla.<\/div>\n
Pertinently, the prestigious project has been taken up under the component \u201cCritical Infrastructure\u201d of JTFRP funded by the World Bank.<\/div>\n
While inspecting the ongoing works, Dr. Abid directed the concerned officers to work in double shifts with full focus on quality parameters of the project ensuring timely completion. He asked the executing agency to ensure completion of the works on ground floor of the building before June end.<\/div>\n
Dr. Abid, while enquiring about the technical specifications of the building, directed the concerned engineers that the technical and quality parameters should be checked on regular basis for effective implementation. He also directed the executing agency to initiate the process for procuring necessary medical infrastructure for the hospital which is part of the composite tender given to NPCC Limited. He asked the officers to constitute a committee of specialized doctors for vetting technical specifications and other requirements for procurement of medical equipments and other related items.<\/div>\n
CEO was informed that the building will be G+4 structure\u00a0 with 120 beds capacity as well as technically advanced modular Operation theatres, pre-operative and post-operative units which will considerably augment the infrastructure of the valley\u2019s largest centre for the orthopedic care.<\/div>\n
Pertinent to mention that JTFRP, which is part of PM\u2019s development package, has received major fillip in implementation in the last one year which has been recognized in various tripartite review meetings between the World Bank, the Department of Economic Affairs and the government of J&K.<\/div>\n
