Chandigarh, August 19 \u2013 Haryana Co-operation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal today launched the small packing of refined sugar brand \u00a0namely ‘EKSHU’ Sugar\u2019 manufactured by Haryana State Federation of Co-operative Sugar Mills Limited.\u00a0 The refined sugar will be available in the market in small sachet, packing of one kilogram and five kilograms.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Co-operation Minister while interacting with the media persons said that this refined sugar is being produced at the Cooperative Sugar Mill Rohtak and after its success the refined sugar will also be produced at the Cooperative Sugar Mill in Gohana.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He said that as compared to normal sugar,\u00a0 refined sugar is sold at a higher price, hence various packings have been prepared.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He said that apart from restaurants, hotels, Vita booths, Hafed booths or other outlets, this refined sugar will be made available in sugar mills as well as in the markets.\u00a0 \u00a0He said that now this refined sugar will be made available in the market in small packing sachets (pouches) of one kg and five kg packing so that anyone can carry it easily.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Dr.\u00a0 Banwari Lal said that the refined sugar brand namely ‘EKSHU’ Sugar\u2019 produced by Haryana State Cooperative Federation is lower than the prices of other companies.\u00a0 Referring to the current market price, he said that currently the refined sugar price of other companies in the market is around Rs. 42 per kg, while the refined sugar being produced by Haryana State Federation of Co-operative Sugar Mills Limited is around Rs 38 per kg.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He said that the Co-Operative Sugar Mills of Palwal, Kaithal and Meham will produce jaggery and sugar in the coming season and after the success of the production of jaggery and sugar, other Co-Operatives Sugar mills will also produce jaggery and sugar. Besides this, Co-Operative Sugar Mill plant in Shahabad will soon produce ethanol and arrangements for this are being made.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He said that the prices of ethanol are high and it can be sold after mixing with petrol, which will also benefit the Sugar Mills.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Minister said that continuous efforts should also be made for co-generation (power generation) in Co-Operative Sugar Mills of Shahabad, Rohtak, Karnal and Panipat so as to generate surplus power from these plants.\u00a0 He said that such new innovations are brought in so as to help sugar mills in Haryana recover from their fiscal deficit and efforts are being made to match up with the current market scenario.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Department, Mr.\u00a0 Sanjeev Kaushal, Managing Director, Haryana State Cooperative Sugar Mill Federation, Captain Shakti Singh, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Mr. Mani Ram Sharma and other senior officers were present.<\/p>\n
