Manohar Lal today formally launched National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that for the successful implementation of this policy in Haryana, every child would be enrolled in the school by reducing the drop out rate in the state, so that emphasis could be laid on his all-round development right from initial learning of Child.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Addressing the gathering\u00a0 and academicians and students who joined the programme\u00a0 launch ceremony of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 held in Panchkula, digitally, Sh. Manohar Lal\u00a0 said that NEP- 2020 is going to bring revolutionary changes in the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this Policy, along with education and employment, the Policy aims to make students cultured and Atmanirbhar, so that the students can make important contribution in making\u00a0 India the Vishav Guru again in the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, Education Minister Sh. Kanwar Pal, Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda, Organizing Secretary, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Sh. Mukul Kanitkar, Chairman Haryana Higher Education Council, Professor B.K Kuthiala were also remained present during the function.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister said that at the time of independence, the education system of Lord Macaulay was focused on the &#8216;Three R&#8217;s&#8217;: Writing, Reading and Arithmetic, which was did not ensure holistic development of a citizen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, after 75 years of independence in the 21st century, the country needs such an Education Policy, which not only makes the younger generation educated but also inculcates the feeling of nationalism in them and for this purpose, the Cenntral Government launched the NEP-2020, asserted Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that the way Haryana is has made it&#8217;s name in sports, in the same way Haryana should be made\u00a0 a leader in the field of Education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sh. Manohar Lal\u00a0 said that the infrastructure required\u00a0 for implementing the NEP-2020 in Haryana has already been prepared with an aim to empower the students with knowledge, skills and values by imparting quality education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The NEP-2020 will be completely implemented by the year 2025.\u00a0 Although the deadline\u00a0 for its implementation is till 2030, Haryana will achieve this target five years in advance, said Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that\u00a0 Haryana aims to track every child by reducing the drop out rate in schools, for this data analysis of every family member registered under the Parivar Pehchan Patra started by the state government will be done, so that every child can be tracked and enrolled who could not attend the school for any reason.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister\u00a0 said that it is very important to have adequate infrastructure for education.\u00a0 In this direction, Haryana has not only enough school colleges, but also have Universities and world-class educational institutions with specialization in various subjects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that a school within 2 to 3 km distance of every student are set up in the state. Similarly, Colleges have been\u00a0 set up\u00a0 within every 20 km radius.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adequate schools, colleges and other educational institutions are available in the state ensuring the successful implementation of NEP-2020 soon.\u00a0 Still, if there is any shortcoming, then the state government is committed to remove such shortcomings at the earliest, added Sh. Manohar Lal<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Efforts already made for\u00a0 successful implementation of NEP-2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister said that as per the new Education Policy,\u00a0 about 4,000 playway schools are being opened in the state focussing on early age education since the age of three as enshrined in the NEP-2020.\u00a0 So far 1135 schools have been opened, he further informed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that 113 new Sanskriti Model Schools have been opened for imparting education in English and facilities on the lines of private schools, which has increased their number to 137.\u00a0 Besides this, as many as 1418 schools are being upgraded to English medium bag free schools, said Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that one of the goals of NEP-2020 is to make the Gross Enrollment Ratio of girls in higher education more than 50 percent by the year 2030.\u00a0 Haryana is ahead in this direction too.\u00a0 The Gross Enrollment Ratio of girls here is 32 percent, informed Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sh. Manohar Lal said that such educational institutions are being set up in the state, in which education will be provided from KG class\u00a0 to PG level.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Initially we are going to make an arrangement of imparting education from KG to PG in four\u00a0 universities. While, Kurukshetra University has already started preparing for admission to be given under KG to PG scheme\u00a0from this academic session that is\u00a0 2021-22,&#8221; said Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Ensuring Skill development from School to University<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister said that\u00a0 various initiatives have been taken by the State Government to impart Skill Development from School level up to University and under this various initiative likes starting NSQF in schools, &#8216;Pahal Yojana&#8217; in Colleges, setting up\u00a0 Incubation Centres in Universities and imparting Technical Institutions in Technical Institutes for training as per industry needs MoU with industries age some of the steps taken by Haryana Government.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Imparting Skill Development Education in Schools<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister said that another goal of the NEP-2020 is to impart\u00a0 professional and skill education to children from class VI onwards.\u00a0 In Haryana, the State Government have made arrangements to make children proficient in various skills in the schools itself.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister said that the State\u00a0 Government has opened a separate University &#8216;Shri Vishwakarma Kaushal Vishwavidyalaya&#8217; for\u00a0 imparting skill development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University has forged strong links with industries and 94 MoUs has been signed. As many as\u00a0 34 Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes are being run in this university.\u00a0 \u00a0As many as 4,755 students have been trained through short duration and regular courses, informed the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that\u00a0 \u00a0as per\u00a0 changing market scenario, many new courses have been identified by University and of these, preparations are being made to impart skill training to about 71,000 youth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Chief Minister informed that a new ambitious scheme &#8216;Passport Sahayata&#8217; has been started in\u00a0 to make the students aware of employment opportunities abroad and in the\u00a0Universities\u00a0and colleges\u00a0outside India,\u00a0under which passports are being given free of cost to all final year students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that &#8216;Super-100 programme&#8217; has been started for the promising students of government schools.\u00a0 As many as 25 youth trained in this programme have cleared JEE this year and had made it to the merit list to get admission in\u00a0 IIT.\u00a0 \u00a0 Similarly, 72 youth have cleared the NEET exam and got admission in good medical colleges, shared the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;In this direction, the State Government has also signed MoU with M-3M Foundation for coaching 50,000 meritorious students through various online programme.\u00a0 In this programme, along with coaching the youth appearing for competitive examinations, their progress of preparing the programme will also be reviewed every week,&#8221; said Sh. Manohar Lal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>NEP will make students aware of\u00a0 Rich Indian Vaules: Kanitkar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In his address,\u00a0National Organization Minister of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Sh. Mukul Kanitkar said that the main objective of NEP- 2020 is to make youth\u00a0 self-reliant.\u00a0 For this, complete emphasis has been laid on imparting education in Indian languages and the implementation of the same is the utmost responsibility of the educational leadership.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He said that along with making the youth cultured,\u00a0 the education policy is certainly going to make them aware of the rich Indian culture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unless a student is self-respecting and self-reliant, he cannot become Atamnirbhar\u00a0 and India&#8217;s dream of becoming Vishav Guru again cannot be realized.\u00a0 Therefore, educating youth by teaching them the values and ethics of rich Indian culture to make them Atamnirbhar is the utmost objective of this New Education Policy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the programme, the Chief Minister also launched the Buniyaad programme on the lines of Haryana FLN Mission and Super-100 for the promising students of class IXth\u00a0 and Xth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Education Minister, Sh.
