Providing a comparative study between Australia and India, Ms Gupta projected that Clinical Pharmacy in India is in a nascent stage and there is a long way to go. She facilitated a discussion about how to establish the practice of clinical pharmacy as an integral and essential part of healthcare in India, in a way similar to that in other developed countries.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Renu Koul briefly discussed the hierarchy of a marketing department in a Pharma industry and the responsibilities of a Product manager and Medical Representative. She deliberated upon the role of a pharmacist as a creative partner and importance of content in pharma advertising. With her talk she sensitized the Pharmacy graduates to shoulder their responsibilities by contributing in terms of knowledge and creativity; to market the products and help in increase in return on investment (ROI).<\/p>\n<p>Ms Veena Shegal talked about the perspective of the Pharmaceutical Industry from a viewpoint of numbers and functions that are specialized yet interdependent and merge into one another. Moreover she emphasized the importance of continued learning and understanding different aspects of a business environment for a successful career.<\/p>\n<p>All the faculty members of UIPS joined the session.
