
Deputy Chief Minister meets youths taking training in flying
Chandigarh, March 10- Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala has called upon the sports coaches of the state to prepare sportspersons of the state according to the new sports included in the Olympics so that more and more of Haryana’s sportspersons can win medals for the country in international competitions.
Deputy Chief Minister was addressing the gathering at the the closing ceremony of the four-day inter-university men’s wrestling competition organized at Chaudhary Bansi Lal University in Bhiwani. Later, he met youths undergoing flying training at Bhiwani airstrip and inquired about their training facilities in detail.
While addressing the youth of the University, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the sportspersons of Bhiwani have displayed their skills all over the world in the game of Boxing and Kabaddi. There is also a need to emphasize on the new sports which are currently included in the Olympic Games. He suggested to the coaches that they should prepare wrestlers for mixed martial arts by training them in boxing, for this the Haryana Government will extend all possible financial help to Chaudhary Bansi Lal University.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that girls practicing in village Alakhpura of Bhiwani district are also making their mark by joining the national team of football, which is a matter of pride. He asked the university administration to prepare a project for new games along with traditional games and send it to the government, for which approval will be given.
After the ceremony, Sh. Dushyant Chautala reached Bhiwani airstrip and inquired about the training facilities in detail from the trainees. It is noteworthy that the Flight Simulation Training Centre is operating on this airstrip for the last five-six months, where youth from other countries are also taking training to fly.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that hangars, training hostels and other necessary resources would be provided here. For this, he directed the officers of the flying school present on the spot to prepare the layout and implement it.
