Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, MLA from Suchetgarh, and Arvind Gupta, MLA from Jammu West Assembly Constituency, held a Public Darbar at the Bharatiya Janata Party Headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The Darbar witnessed the participation of a large number of deputations representing various sections of society, who came forward to voice their pressing civic and administrative concerns.
Residents from different areas submitted their grievances, primarily related to key public service departments including the Revenue Department, Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development Department (PDD), Public Works Department (PWD), and Urban Local Bodies. Several deputations demanded immediate blacktopping and repair work of roads to ensure safer and smoother commuting.
Many residents reported Water scarcity, frequent power cuts and voltage fluctuations, malfunctioning of street lights, repair of lanes and drains, sanitation, ration cards, exclusion from various government beneficiary schemes, etc.
Prof. Gharu Ram and Arvind Gupta gave a patient hearing to each deputation and assured prompt action.
Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat assured the deputations that their issues would not go unheard. “We are committed to ensuring that people’s voices reach the appropriate platforms. Every genuine issue will be followed up with the concerned department, and we will ensure timely action,” he stated.
Arvind Gupta said that the Public Darbar is an important tool for strengthening the party’s connect with the people. Addressing civic problems at the grassroots level is essential for effective governance. We are fully devoted to serving the citizens and ensuring that no grievance goes unresolved, he said.
Reiterating their commitment to public service, both leaders emphasized the importance of timely redressal and pledged that all genuine grievances would be taken up on priority.
