The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today said that the recovery rate has touched 99 percent in the district while positivity rate has declined to 0.7 percent.
While briefing the media, he said out of 14442 positive cases since Ist April, 14227 patients have since recovered fully.
He said there is also good indication that since the last many days, no death due to pandemic has occurred.
Regarding vaccination, DC said that about 89 percent of the population of the age group of 45 and above have been vaccinated and the process is going on steadily and smoothly.
The DC assured that the administration is keeping a close vigil on the situation, adding that aggressive testing is going on to prevent further spread of Covid.
He appealed to the general public to continue adherence to all SOPs, guidelines, and cooperate with Administration in every respect related to containment of Covid-19 pandemic.
