Till now 3,06,055 Health care and frontline workers have been vaccinated, says Governor
Chandigarh, March 5- Haryana Governor, Satyadeo Narain Arya while lauding the efforts of Health Department for effectively controlling spread of COVID-19 Pandemic, said that the department through the Electronic Vaccine Intelligence Network – eVIN, which is an innovative technological solution, has upgraded to CoWIN (Winning over COVID) for real time monitoring of COVID-19 vaccine and beneficiaries. CoWIN facilitates digital platform for Registration of Beneficiaries. 18,921 vaccination sites have been mapped. As on March 2, 2021 total 3,06,055 Health care workers and frontline workers have been vaccinated.
Satyadeo Narain Arya was delivering his address on the first day of Budget Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha which commenced here today.
Maternal Mortality Rate decreased from 98 to 91
Satyadeo Narain Arya said that the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) has been further decreased from 98 to 91 (SRS data 2016-18); Under 5 Mortality Rate has been brought down to 35 per 1000 live births with an appreciable 10 points dip; Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) has been brought down from 41 to 30 per 1000 live birth; Neo-Natal Mortality Rate has been brought down from 26 to 21 per 1000 live birth.
E-Sanjeevani OPD started
The Governor said that E-Sanjeevani OPD, an online Stay Home OPD under National Tele- Consultation services of Govt. of India has been initiated in Haryana since May 5, 2020. Implementation of e-Sanjeevani OPD Tele Consultation has been awarded the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Good Governance Award 2020 by Chief Minister on December 25, 2020.
The Essential Medicines List (EML) has been revised. Presently 463 Medicines, 226 Medical Consumables to be used in routine OPD, IPD and emergency and medical consumables along with 146 drugs used under specific programs, 88 dental materials and 36 linen items and 47 COVID items are being provided free of cost at various health facilities.
26,93,930 Ayushman cards issued to 7,97,557 families
The Governor said that till date a total of 26,93,930 Ayushman cards have been issued to 7,97,557 families. Claims worth Rs. 229 crore have been disbursed to 2,05,000 beneficiaries. 580 hospitals have already been empanelled in Haryana under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
Opening of four new Government Ayurvedic Dispensaries
The Governor said that State Government has given approval for opening of four new Government Ayurvedic Dispensaries. Shri Krishna AYUSH University has been established at Kurukeshtra. To promote Ayurvedic education in the State, Government Ayurvedic College has been constructed at Village Pattikara (Narnaul). In addition, 407 Government Ayurvedic Dispensaries and 138 Health Sub-centers have been approved as AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers by Government of India as well as the State Government.
Setting up Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya University and Government Medical College
Satyadeo Narain Arya said that State Government is in the process of establishing a University of Health Sciences at Karnal to be named after Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. This university will have post doctoral DM/MCH training programmes. The Governor said that Government is in the process of establishing a Government Medical College in Bhiwani under the centrally sponsored scheme by upgrading the existing hospital of District Bhiwani.
“A Government Medical College is being set up in village Haibatpur, District Jind, in Village Koriyawas, District Mohindergarh and village Chhainsa, Faridabad. In addition to this, six Government Nursing Institutes are being established in districts Faridabad, Rewari, Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Panchkula,” shared Sh. Arya.
“In view of COVID-19 pandemic, all Government and many Private Medical Colleges were designated as COVID-19 care hospitals. Till date, 20,274 COVID-19 positive patients have been admitted in 12 Government and Private Medical Colleges in Haryana. Out of these 18,685 have been cured and discharged”, said Sh. Satyadeo Narain Arya.
ESI Health Care
Satyadeo Narain Arya said that the State Government has empaneled 33 Private Hospitals at CGHS rates on cashless basis for providing secondary care health services to the insured persons and their dependents. In addition to this State Government has granted approval to tie up with private hospitals already empaneled with health department at CGHS rates on re-imbursement basis for providing secondary health care services to the insured persons and their dependents. Signing of MoU’s with 53 such hospitals is under process, he said.
