Two held for placing bets on India Vs England T20
Chandigarh, March 22 – Cracking down against cricket betting rackets, Haryana Police has apprehended two men in Sirsa district for making bets on T20 match between India and England.
Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that acting on secret input from an informer, a team of the Crime Investigation Agency raided a house in bank colony and arrested two suspects on the charges of placing bets on T20.
As many as 13 mobile phones, one laptop, a television and other electronic goods were seized during the operation.
Arrested accused were identified as Umed and Pramod, both residents of Sirsa. A case under relevant sections of the Gambling Act was registered against them and further investigation is underway.
